> GPS-Buddy will launch its newest service at CeBIT this year:
NAVITRACK!

NAVITRACK is a special web services account for use with new high-end Garmin™ PNDs. With a NAVITRACK account, the user can simply upload this data periodically to GPS-Buddy web services for permanent and secure storage, then browse the vehicle’s history using the industry-leading reporting and tracking functions on the GPS-Buddy web interface. As usual this is possible from any PC, anywhere in the world.

Although this service does not provide real-time tracking, it is a truly hassle-free solution for individuals, professionals or companies to monitor their vehicle(s), without having to purchase any additional hardware or go through complicated installations.

NAVITRACK will be compatible with the following Garmin™ models: Nüvi 7xx series, Nüvi 8xx series, Nüvi 5000 and all Zümo models.

Meanwhile we have been working on an Install Kit to help build in the CONNECT into your customers' vehicles. The prototype has been finalized, is approved and we are now tooling up for production.

You may have noticed the ‘Register Your CONNECT’ button on the homepage of our website. Customers need to register their CONNECT before use, to activate it. To register, serial number, IMEI number and email address have to be filled in on the CONNECT Registration page. You can find the device information on the CONNECT device itself. Remember to keep the CONNECT to-hand when registering your device.

> WEBSERVICES – New Interface !

We are all eager to see the new interface of GPS-Buddy WEBSERVICES. Our development team in Antwerp is hard at work getting the new layout ready for next month. The first launch will focus on the NaviTrack users. We will subsequently focus on adding new features - more about that in the upcoming newsletters.

We will phase the release of the new Web Services based on GPS-Buddy type. The first release of the new interface, launched at CeBit, will be limited for NAVITRACK users, followed by a subsequent release for Connect users in the near future. Finally we will migrate all PRO users to the new environment, so stay tuned!

Tim Sutch recently joined our sales team in the USA as Sales Manager. Tim formerly worked as Vice- President of Maximum Sales & Marketing, Inc. A manufacture rep firm in the Mid-Atlantic territory of the US.

We welcome two new colleagues at the GPS-Buddy Support Department in Cork. Tamrat Ogubai and Mark Fietje, who both worked at Apple Computers as Direct Sales Support Coordinator and will be responsible for the Dutch and English Customer Support at GPS-Buddy.

> GPS-BUDDY USA Distribution Network

In this first phase GPS-Buddy decided to opt for a more selective distribution network for the USA and will mainly distribute via the existing Garmin network.

Our strategy is not only to use the retail sales channels but to also focus on the internet.

GPS-Buddy now has a logistics Partner for the CONNECT in the USA and made an agreement with InstallerNet who will take care of all logistics and installation matters.

Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA

Our Sales team in the USA just completed their first commercial show: ACCA (Air Conditioning Contractors of America). Although the show was poorly attended the quality of the attendees was high - typically Presidents, VPs & GMs. GPS-Buddy ended up with about 25 quality leads, representing close to 1000 vehicles.
