We have the honor of welcoming Online Technology (OT) as our new distributor for the UK. David Rutland (Chief Executive) and his team at Online Technology (OT) bring both enthusiasm and knowledge to GPS-Buddy in the UK.

Since its creation in 1983, OT has grown to its current size by offering a first class service to local, national and international industries, particularly in the automotive sector, with various depots in the UK and Germany. They have quickly built up a reputation in the transport and logistics software market place, offering back office systems to cover issues like track and trace, vehicle management, including digital signature capture and total vehicle visibility.

The new collaboration with GPS Buddy adds new products and services to Online Technology’s portfolio and will enhance their service to their current and potential customers.

We are proud to announce the release of a new version of our GPS-Buddy WEBSERVICES. This new version has been created to improve the usability.

> GPS-BUDDY - New colleagues

David Duhig graduated as “Bachelor of Engineering in Electronic Engineering” at Cork Institute of Technology and worked for 7 ½ years in a telecoms capacity with Motorola and has built up extended experience in Software Testing and Lab-support. David will work for GPS-Buddy as a Testing Engineer for software and hardware, and will also participate in software development coordination.

Christophe Kerkhofs recently joined our team of programmers in Antwerp. He will be assisting the team with the internal development.

We welcome Katrin Birthelmer as a new Support Agent for the German speaking markets. Katrin has previously worked at Apple Customer Support.

NAFA (National Association of Fleet Administrators) is a not for profit, individual membership professional society serving the needs of members who manage fleets of automobiles, trucks and vans in the United States & Canada. NAFA has 2,300 members representing over 3.5 million vehicles. The Conference attendees are broken down as follows: 57% Commercial fleet managers, 26% Public service fleet managers & 25% Law enforcement. Percentages total more than 100% as multiple answers were allowed

GPS-Buddy was present at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, NV, that took place in the first week of January. The CES is not open to the general public and we were overwhelmed by the positive response we received from potential customers, distributors, resellers, OEM partners and industry analysts alike. The GPS-Buddy CONNECT is taking a quick introduction to the markets. After the launch in the US, and even before launch in Europe, the CONNECT is already available through several web shops on the internet, and even has a listing in Google shopping. If you have a web shop or other interesting internet references for GPS-buddy, you can send us your link(s), so we can put it on our site and our newsletter.
GPS-Buddy already finds its way to some forums, so the story of a cross-country motor rider, learns us that people are interested in our device not only for business purpose.
CONNECT has successfully passed the Mobistar Incident Management Escalation Test, and is now certified for their wireless network.
The new version of DDMS is now officially used for activations in Belgium, Switzerland, Austria and Norway.
